Don’t ever tell me I’m wrong. Ever.
Just like you people like to attack sources, it’s my turn.
Newsday is a biased junk rag.
Even according to your over glorified bird cage paper article, I’m not wrong.
They actually say it’s up. But they’re claiming not by much. Which is total BS.
Maybe you could try providing something to backup your argument rather than saying the source is wrong.
Plenty of articles out there that will refute “studies” from pro bail reform groups like the ACLU cited by Newsrag anyone with a brain can see that property crimes skyrocketing isn’t by magic.
The mayor of NYC is comparing non-bail eligible crimes in 2017 to 2021, interesting that he went back 2017 when the law went into effect in 2019. Rather weak on statistics, no quotes on recidivism claims and the focus is on allowing judges to decide bail for non-violent crime.
But what is it they want, do we want to roll back the bail reform entirely. I am sure there are problems as you pointed out with a few individuals being arrested multiple times, that should be looked at but overall, it is working.

LMAO so you quote sources from the brennancenter and the jurist article quotes statistics from the friggen legal aide society, both left wing groups that have been pushing for bail reform for years. You going to send a "Study" from the ACLU next?? They would say bail reform is working if NYC was literally burning down.
And yes bail reform needs to be 100% rolled back entirely at minimum giving judges full discretion again just like I don't know the vast majority of states have. If you are really that completely blind as to what is going on here especially with the major spike in property crimes, (and there is no doubt for anyone that docent have their head in the sand) then I honestly don't know what to tell you.
The article says it’s up. They’re just sugar coating it like it’s not as bad as everyone thinks, or says it is. Point proven. End of story. Good day sir.
Shhhhh! But the Brennan center for justice and the legal aide society says everything is just peachy! Pay no attention to countless real world examples right in front of your face!

There are several links in the Brennan source, how about reading them. They didn't make up their own statistics, how about the NY Post.
So you want to go back to the days of jailing non-violent offenders, sure that worked great. Judges still have the discretion to set bail in violent felonies. If anything they need to adjust the bill to go after the small number of individuals that are guilty of multiple offenses.
