Basically February and March are the only leafblower free months on Long Island.
Peconic117 is a good example of what happens to the human brain after years of breathing in fine particulate matter, pesticides, and unburnt fuel and emissions from two stroke motors.
I spent some time in Vermont and Massachusetts. More trees. More leaves. Didn't hear a single leaf blower. Much more quiet. And also, amazingly, more beautiful. They didn't have this artificial 1950s view of what an attractive landscape is.

Good. You don’t like this “1950’s” version of an attractive landscape? Please feel free to move to a cabin in the Styx. It will provide a nice safe space (which you seem to be in frequent need of here) from those scary leaf blowers! The horror! Lmao

Don’t forget those fine particulate matters, pesticides in the lawn hose too!
I know! I’m a survivor!

Dude you need a safe space from people criticizing leaf blowers. You need a safe space from leaves, and bugs, and animals, and all that scary stuff.
If you read up on the health implications of being constantly surrounded by leafblowers you'd have a different opinion. You've proved my opinion regarding the effects on the brain.
Those people who live out in the "styx" (that's a band, no?) are much more hardy and fearless than the typical Long Island suburban.

Proved my point again.
Save for a few good folks, this forum is mostly inhabited by imbeciles.
I guess that's more informative for anyone considering moving here than any responses to specific questions they could ask. The forum is serving it's purpose then!
Not sure how a lawn hose would send microparticles airborne for hours and hours. They also don't emit toxic 2 stroke emissions. If you understand engines, you'd understand why 2 stroke is very different from 4 stroke, like your car or typical lawn mower.
That’s worse than planes flying over an airport in a residential area!
Absurd comparison. They aren't making new airports here. People who buy houses near an airport and then complain are obviously being ridiculous.
People who expect healthy air to breathe and not a constant cacophony of warzone like sounds in their own home are not morons. The gas leafblower is a stupid invention...and you want to normalize it and label those who complain about it fussy simply because it has been around for a few decades. You lack the ability to step back out of autopilot and think about this objectively. Look at the cost/benefit of the device and the wide scale of it's use. It makes no sense.
There are plenty of studies/articles written by respected scientists and doctors regarding the health implications of leaf blowers. Perhaps you are one of those ignorant types who discounts scientists and doctors and purveyors of liberal lies.
