but, isn't it used all the time?
Whenever we went to "The Cow Supermarket", I would
take my grandson to see the planes take off and land. It was always busy.

The area wouldnt be "blighted" if the state hadn't allowed the buildings to fall into disrepair in the first place.

You are probably thinking of Republic Plaza, which still is fairly busy and is south of Conklin. The section that was announced for redevelopment is on the north side of Conklin where a bunch of long abandoned buildings currently sit.

Keeping large buildings of the sort that were there in good shape is difficult and expensive.

Yeah like others said it's not the same area, these are all the old abandoned Fairchild buildings on the other side.
