Good doctors near Glen Cove? (New York, Clay: dermatologist, live in, shopping center)

Hi Everybody:

I'm moving to Glen Cove and have a few chronic medical conditions for which I need physicians. Does anyone know of a good internist, dermatologist, or urologist? For what it's worth, I value not only medical competency, but the ability and willingness of a doctor to communicate.

Additionally, any other comments about Glen Cove would be welcome. I'm kind of excited about finally getting back to New York.

Hi. I don't know any Glen Cove doctors, but I will tell you Long Island Jewish/North Shore Hosp. has a pretty good reputation. I haven't been to Glen Cove in ages. I used to look for Indian Arrowheads and Clay Pots at Garvies Point as a kid.
good luck with your move..........p.s. lots of pretty competent drs. on the North Shore...Great Neck/Manhasset......it's always trial and error until you find the doctor you truly trust. In and about your area there are lots of choices and that's a good thing probably. Better than the one "country" doctor some folks have.

Lived in GC for 20 years and just left because of business. A good internist is Dr. Carlo Annessi - thorough and listens well. Also Dr. Samuels (he is in the walkin offices on Forest Ave. but you can make an apointment. A good dentist is Dr. Germano on Highland. He is very good and does not do unnecessary procedures like some of the others. I have also heard some good things about the dentist in the Stop and Shop shopping center. I think there is a Dr. Aprell or Aprelli that is supposed to be a good dermatologist - don't know first hand. You might want to start with the internist and go on his recommendation.

Enjoy Glen Cove - I know I did. They have fantastic Italian food at Mara's and Stango's. Forest Pizza is the best in the world. And Page One Rest. is WONDERFUL!

The golf course is great and their rest. is also very good and you can't beat the view.

The people of Glen Cove are very tight knit but also very willilng to let outsiders into their fold.

hi, recently moved to glen cove and need a good pediatrician for my 17 month old. while not opposed to vaccines, would like to seperate MMR and give vaccines more gradually. would love to find dr. who respects those wishes. thanks
