I see these things all over- some small some huge- I looked into a few brands and while some are chepo others are very good quality and made of heay grade pipe for the frame and good canvas. I was considering getting one for my boat. Would be 24' long and 8' high.

My question is do you think the towns would try to enforce permit regulations on these? On one hand they are temporary structures with no foundation or solid floor. They seem to be everywhere with no attention drawn. On the other hand, the towns like to go after anything they can.

I looked at the town code and found nothing (Brookhaven) specifically related to these structures. I would say just make sure you keep it to the back yard and off the line.

Anyone with credible info or experience here please respond.

temporary structures = no permits c/c's or c/o's. At worst if you had to you could just take it down for a while.
