I know you said something else but all I can remember is that last part. And I remember it fondly.

I was thinking more along the lines of Martha Stewart......learn how to put on make-up while decorating the cake.

I'm not like the majority of women on LI, or at least the stereotype. I rarely wear makeup (I think I look fine without it), don't waste money on manicures/pedicures, dislike shopping, save money whenever I can, and also don't curse (most other women I've met on the island curse like crazy).

Sorry, I'm already married .

The cursing is a Brooklyn thing - one tries to outdo the other.

I basically have 2 types by me, the previously mentioned, and...the sweatpant and croc wearin no make up at all eternally just rolled out of bed lookin' chick.
Now, you can subsitute the crocs for ugs ocassionally, and sometimes the sweats for leggin's. But that's pretty much it, not too much variation in that look, I think it's an unwritten law that they adhere to.
Oh yeah, forgot to add you can also see this particular look, but with a fur(faux?)coat in colder weather

How often do you see a woman on LI that DOESN'T look weathered, jaded, and beaten. I think it's a product of the environment, but you rarely see it. As I visit other areas of the country and the world, I often see women that still have that "glow". You know what I'm talking about. It's that youthful energy and positive attitude that make a person more attractive.

I honestly think that the women here have spent so much time worrying about their status, their money, their material goods, and other superficial items, that they've forgotten how to find true happiness.

I see plenty of women like that on LI.

In other parts of the world, actually, I see it less. Much less.

Not all of us are superficial greedy candidates for "The Real Housewives of Long Island."

Most of the men I know on Long Island are not like the men on this board.

Thank gawd.

I agree with you. (Although there are number of men within this forum that aren't so jaded and/or dissatisfied.)
