Have you ever had an encounter with someone who was mentally disturbed or high on drugs.I had a guy come up to me in Anaheim and ask for a quarter as I was coming out of subway.i would not give it to him and he started telling me about how no one would help him then he started cursing about how he was trying to get off meth and no one would help him.He was standing at the corner in front of disneyland and the crosswalk changed so I walked forward keeping one eye on him the whole time.the guy looked like he was really high (probably on meth).I looked back and he was still talking to himself and cursing.

Well, it's damned sad that some people find themselves at such depths, whether by their own doing or not.

Since addiction is a disease, thankfully there's treatment. It saved my life and the lives of many others. I pity anyone in the grip of meth addiction.

That said, the other night on Sunset and Vermont there was an old drunk guy yelling "I can't, I can't, I can't, I can't" in his best Fat Albert voice. He threw an "I can" in on once verse.
