I live in a country hick town in ohio and I go out alone like EVERY DAY. And no one gives a crap. Now in a town where everyone knows each other and the population is roughly 200k. If no one gives a crap about what restaurant I went to alone, or what club I was at by myself, I'm sure in LA, it's probably even worse and no one really even notices. The thing is, you're so busy trying to make a statement that you're complicating things. It's not complicated. Go get dressed right now, get in your car and drive to the club. Stop being such a sissy about it. It's not like you're getting something permanent like a tattoo or something, you're just patronizing an establishment. Seriously no big deal. This is coming from a 23 year old living in the middle of nowhere.

I hope you guys realize that this is a 9-page topic of people convincing a random old lady to go outside of her house. smh.

I've been hitting up some places in beverly hills lately and have been running into the ocassional women out alone, usually they are with a friend(s) 90% of the time.

If you find a neighbhood bar/lounge, then it is common to see women stop in alone since they frequent the establishment often and are considered a local.

Many times solo individuals, male or female, will go in to a particular place to hang out and talk to the staff and others that come in regularly.

Bottom line, I think most of us if not all, want to find a local place to hang out at that provides a "Cheers" like environment where we get to socialize with other "cool" regulars we click with which would make that place even more special.
