True that. The area between Torrance and LAX on any given 4:00 in the morning may not be the place to let your children play or the place to walk your dog. It was just surreal, that morning. LA owes me a GD cup of coffee!

Very funny picture! Now did they climb into their BMW at the end of the day?
The beauty of Los Angeles is we are close to everything! You won't have a problem with entertainment. Make a few side trips out here to take a look see at different areas. There are three major airports for you to fly out of, Burbank in San Fernando Valley, LAX in Los Angeles and John Wayne in Orange Co, so you don't have to locate right in LA to be close to an airport. You might like a beach community? Depends on what kind of view you want Depending on your needs you might split your funds and buy a modest house in the LA area and a home up in the mountains (Big Bear or Arrowhead) only a couple of hours drive. It won't be CO but close and you will get snow for some skiing.

I am surprised you haven't been down to Rocky Point. My favorite beach. Only about 3 hours south of you. Better than the tubing! It takes us 10 hrs to get there!

Anyway good luck with your move!

LAX is nothing, Ohare is the worst airport in the world!!!! Never had so many lost suitcases and lack of help as Ohare. LAX is usually a breeze, aside from the A-holes with the wands rushing you to take off your shoes.
