I have recently relocated to So Cal 5 months ago from the SF Bay Area and I'm having trouble finding a decent, quality apt home with a washer/dryer in a relatively safe area! It almost seems like this kind of apt home DOES NOT exist down here (with washer/dryer). I currently live in Westchester and my apt is crap and I am paying way too much in rent for it.

I found an apt on Obisbo between Anaheim and the PCH. I am learning that this area is pretty sketchy. I am young, single woman who is very concerned about her safety and I know very little about So Cal neighborhoods.

Opinions please!!!

Thanks!

Most of the apartment complexes in LB area are ancient buildings. I have moved five times in the last 4 years because I don't like noise. These apartments have paper thin walls and sometimes you might live next door to an inconsiderate idiot who takes pleasure in slamming their cabinets back in forth into your common wall; or playing their dance music for hours on end.

It is the owners fault for not upgrading their property. They could install washer and dryers, add more electrical outlets, and wall sound insulation. They add a new floor or bathroom fixtures and call that newly rehabed. Upgrade for the new century; sounds are HD, we need a lot of outlets for electronics, W&D, double paned glass windows, etc...
