thats not true, I live here in LA. Im in the acting buisness, i go to restrants all thae time, not many actors/actresses would stoop low enough to be a waitor/watress. trust me I would know.

Hollywood, West Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Burbank, Pasadena mabey and some other places are good places for an actor to live. I live in west Hollywood. Its a Jewish area, but nice.

i know a bunch of people in the film industry, i know how many actors/actresses are in the waiting game.

I'm in the industry as well. Some get waiting jobs. Some become Extras (you'll see the regulars time from time again). Others work for the ancillary areas, ie., hair, make-up, stage production, etc. As for places to live. Anywhere near the studios, audition areas, etc.

When I first moved to LA, I was astounded by the number of people I met who were "actors but currently delivering pizzas" and that kind of thing. After awhile, you start to wonder if there is anyone who is not an actor...

On the flip side of that, I once talked to a beautiful, really tall, thin woman at a "lowkey" hotspot and I asked her what she did for a living. She was a model but was getting her college degree. (I kind of guessed she was a model but I was kind of surprised that she was more interested in getting her degree.)
