So, I live in the Miracle Mile area, and have had Time Warner cable/internet for years. I've never had any problems with my service, and I've always considered the HD picture quality to be excellent. I just upgraded from a 60" HD rear projector to a 70" LED HD TV, and I have friends who think I'm crazy for having TW over Directv. I bought an indoor antenna as I've always been told that OTA produces the best HD there is. After two hours of going back and forth between all of the major networks on my OTA and TW, I can honestly say if there is any difference, it is very minute. Sometimes, I even forget which on I'm on.

So my question is, for those that live in the WeHo/Miracle Mile area that have used both, what is your opinion on the HD picture quality between the two? If I can't tell the difference between OTA and TW on the networks, I'm reluctant to change (not even sure yet if my landlord would allow the dish.) Do I just have a particularly good setup with TW? I know when they wired me, the tech told me he ran dedicated lines for me, so there was no sharing. As I live in a fourplex, I believe that was probably true.

Thanks in advance.

I don't believe you can use that with ESPN 3D on TW which I may get soon. I don't really have any issues with my current box (and I'm not a heavy DVR user), so was more interested in differences on PQ.

I'm also considering switching from DirecTV to TWC to save $$$ as opposed to the picture quality, and I also live just south of the Miriacle Mile area as well.

For those of you who have switched over the past several years, how would assess your experience with TWC as opposed to DirecTV, insofar as customer service, billing issues, and the like are concerned?

Thanks!

i've had no issues with TWC on the westside or in the valley. you just have to be careful because they tease you in with great deals which stop abruptly after 6 or 12 months. then you have to go looking for a better deal again.

My mother who lives in the Miracle Mile area stopped her TWC service and now just uses a regular antenna with her relatively new digital TV.
