The LOS ANGELES RIVER runs 52 miles through some different communities in the region, from Canoga Park in the San Fernando Valley through downtown to the ocean in Long Beach. It’s one of the most environmentally degraded river in the world and today it flows through a concrete channel on a fixed course to the ocean , against all the natural laws of a river. Today is one of the world’s largest storm drains. The LA RIVER, with its rich and diverse ecosystem, was a very crucial part in the historic development of Los Angeles and it’s a landmark resource, even if it is estimated by the City of Los Angeles that many natural riparian ecosystems and of natural wetlands have been lost through the urbanization of the LA RIVER.Moderator cut: see note

The "natural laws of a river" would have it meandering all over the LA basin and periodically flooding everyone out. Is that your goal?
