Hi,

I have a loading zone parking (yellow painted curb) next to the driveway of my house. Our driveway is next to a liquor store and customers often park illegally at this spot in order to run into the liquor store. Not only do customers wrongfully use this spot, they often park poorly and block access to our driveway.

I'd like to have a sign posted that communicates that this is a loading zone for use only by commercial trucks (the only indication right now is the faded yellow curb) - does anyone have a recommendation on the best way to get the city to help with this? I live in the Echo Park neighborhood of Los Angeles.

thanks for any suggestions,
Daniel

If memory serves me, your Vehicle Code authority is CVC 22500E.

Don't waste your time with the Department of Transportation. Go directly to your City Council field office and explain the situation.
