In the Long Beach Arena area, there are lots of apartments and condo buildings. Many listings say "street parking only." One building can have 20+ units, yet not enough street parking for one building... or the dozens of nearby residential buildings (most without parking either).

Where do the area residents of this part of Long Beach usually park their cars?

Follow-up question about Long Beach: Does the (unfiltered) tap water in LB taste decent enough to drink? Too sulfuric or over-chlorinated? Does a basic filtration system make the water taste more tolerable, or do most LB residents drink bottled water instead?

Sometimes people park them in grocery store parking lots or side streets where parking is permitted.

I'm talking about long-term parking for people who rent in buildings that don't have parking lots or subterranean parking. Parking on the street in the LB Arena area is a big hassle (rarely open spots, circle around the area looking for parking, park far away, street cleaning). Store parking lots won't let area residents park overnight. That's why I'm wondering where most residents park their cars.

I *think* you can rent spots in the business parking structures in the area. I could be completely wrong.

Obviously parking is priced into the rent. If you want to arbitrage and not pay then you will have to be creative and what I suggested are ways you can park for free. If you don't want to move your car after a certain number of hours then you are going to have to pay.

The tap water is surprisingly,,,potable. At least compared to OC. I'd still recommend getting a filter.
