Hi
I am staying at the Inglewood/airport hotel area after a flight. I've heard that the area is not very safe. This is so?

Thanks for your comments!

it's a safe area, i lived at the hilton @ lax for a month back in 2010. it's pretty much busy 24/7 due to lax, so just use common sense and you'll be fine.

If you read the trip advisor comments for any of the dozens of hotels/motels in Inglewood east of the 405, the hotels fell safe and secured while the area is not so good. Read a few travelers that were warned not to walk around late at night. It is true for many places in the LA area that is safe enough to walk during the day but come night, you will have to watch your back.

The Century area west of the 405 has plenty hotels that are all safe. And Inglewood itself isn't directly next to the airport

Just use your judgment, if it looks "shady" than maybe it is. If it looks "legit" maybe its legit. I've spent plenty of time in Inglewood for work related situations and never had a problem and never felt unsafe.
