I want to find a one bedroom apartment in Mar Vista and I want to know..does Centinela Avenue turn into Bundy Drive going north? I have applied to work at the VA Hospital on Wilshire/Bonsall,which is close to Bundy. I currently live all the way on Vermont and Fountain. if I do move to Centinela,i know that my commute would be easier. BTW - i take the public bus,i can't afford a car. thanks.

Yes, yes it does! There is a separate Centinela that branches off once the main one turns in to Bundy. Mar Vista is great! Welcome to the neighborhood.

Sure does. Once Centinela turns into Bundy, a separate very small Centinela west of Bundy runs from Montana Ave to Olympic Blvd. That Centinela is the border between SM and WLA. Your commute will be pretty easy.

I didn't realize that was the border. It makes sense. I wonder the price difference on one side vs the other with the prestige of being in santa monica.

A little bit, yes. It's not just the prestige but santa monica west of centinela has nicer landscaping and apartments. West LA is a little rundown hence why you can still get a one bedroom for around 1300

I think you'll need to take the Santa Monica 14 to the 2.

I used to have a friend who had an apartment off of Bundy. I quite liked the hood and said to myself maybe someday ... of course, these days, I would consider areas not on my radar screen way back then (25+ years ago). But if one of the arts and crafts homes near there landed in my lap (or I won the lottery) ...
