I am familiar with LA and yes it is futile to post the signs in many areas. It is akin to posting a do not litter sign when so-called "poor people" throw their fast food, coffee, cigarette and snack wrappers (none are necessities) right onto people's property.

If they don't, call the area commander and complain (or have the property owner do so) Your police department is only as good as the public demands it to be. If you don't get the level of service you think is appropriate start making noise about it. You would be surprised at how well the 'squeaky wheel' approach works when it comes to policing.

So, if he sleeps outside of the parking lot, it's better?

Instead of spending money on enforcement, LA needs to spend money on housing. They should start by getting the physically disabled and the elderly off the streets.

It's not society's job to house and feed you. If you can't handle the bare necessities of existence then maybe you're not fit to live.

Actually it's society's (the State's) job to get in the way of people being able to house and feed themselves. This is why it's "illegal" to stand in one place for too long, grow your own food/medicine, etc. Anyone with a smidge of ambition understands this and therefore faults/judges no one for how they get by in the State's bizarro world.

Don't pat yourself on the back for "doing well" in the State's paradigm. It's like doing well in the Matrix (1999 Keanu Reeves movie).

Though I doubt from your response you realize that you're living in the Matrix (the State's contrived reality).

Oh FFS put down the bong and get a reality check. Is "the State" awesome? Far from it, but it's here to stay so adapt and thrive. That's what successful human beings do. They don't cry about injustices and waste away their lives wishing life was perfect.
