When I was a kid in Ohio we had frequent summer rain storms. We would often sit in lawn chairs in the garage and just watch the storm, especially the lightning (OK, so we were poor). With these recent storms, I'm remembering how much I like the rain. I even caught myself popping open the garage door the other day to watch for a few minutes. Anybody else like the rain ?

I like it as well. I find it tranquil, and enjoy that it washes everything off to a certain degree.

Yes! I didn't have to work Friday when the monsoon hit. Enjoyed a day of coffee, hot chocolate and the relaxing sound of the rain.

I drove through the Antelope Valley last week and was amazed at how green it looked. Usually it is just brown dust as far as the eye can see.

I'm done with the rain and with the cool weather. I'm ready for warmth and sunshine. Although it is really nice to see all the hills and bluffs totally green.

I am no fan of winter, I hate to be cold and I like it when women wear their summer clothes.

I love the rain. It is a shame the locals are so terrified and uncomfortable in it. I rarely mind shorts and t shirt in the rain. The misty cool feeling and the plants crisping up after fresh rainfall is the best. I have found that the hot tub is very comfortable when it rains.

Some rain is great. This year, too much. It's dangerous and inconveneint, especially for people who can't just decide to take the day off.

Also, the cold spell is extra long. I don't remember it being in the 40s at night in February anytime recently. What happened to our brief, late Nov to mid January winter that I've gotten used to?

Last year we had a few "cold" spells, but the few years prior to that we had Indian summers all year. It was really nice, but it sucked not seeing verdant hills and flowing streams like we have this year and most years before this drought.
