I'd like to know.
It would also be interesting for the OP to share with us all of his trips to NYC and what he did while he was there.
The way he talks about it makes me doubt he's spent much time there at all.
I'd love to hear about the whole "24/7" thing and what exactly he did differently.

If OP thinks he'll enjoy NYC's nightlife at the age of 17 he's in for a rude awakening.
If he moves to NYC for the reasons he wants to move the only thing that will change in his life is the scenery lol

You also sound bitter, your table of one is ready.

How's the humidity? LOL. I see it's going to be in the 90s this weekend with 50% humidity in Charlotte, sounds lovely.
Home is where you hang your hat pal. Quite happy here breathing this clean Carolina air.

Lol guys just give up. NYC has tons of FREE things going on at all moments. Museums, skate spots are always filled with skaters, you can chill at Washington Square park and have fun. I did this all before last NYC summer. Nice try guys LA is dull and the transplants like you all took the flavor out of it.

Lol typical bitter LA people. I'm sad to be a native, Angelenos think their laid back surfer boy beach blonde city is still alive.

I'm starting to get a feeling you're not an Angeleno... Dare I say not even from the west coast. True colors are showing...

Every Angeleno, especially those born and raised here don't even think about the "surfer boy beach blond" thing, the vibe of the city has shifted far away from that in the last uh... 40 years? Lol
Only people from the east coast who get their information about LA from movies would make such a random statement...

Shows how much you know. Back when I thought L.A. sucked I actually did something about it and left. Except L.A. didn't suck - I did. Looking in the mirror does wonders for you - should try it someday, sonny.

I am an Angeleno, born and raised 17 years in LA. It's just dumb folks like you think LA is still a special city but it's not its just like every other place except it lacks a downtown. LA sucks and I'm done playing around with you hardcore LA nuts.
