No. However, this is no surprise.

My wealthy neighbor just moved to the Nevada side of Lake Tahoe and is selling his house here in so cal. I wouldn't be surprised if there's a big uptick in people leaving states like Ca and NY. Esp when you add Newsome as CA's governor

However, all liberals must stay in CA, having created this massive mess.

No polluting other states with your ideas. We don't need another California ruined.

That would bring down the housing cost! How many articles of California mass exoduses have gone up the last two decades? It's an easy article to write, but it never pans out. Hopefully this one comes true so rents and prices come down.

It probably depends on how big a person's write-offs were before the new tax changes. Supposedly, the new write-off limits were designed to accommodate something like 90% of people filing federal tax returns. If that's correct, 90% of people wouldn't see a federal income tax increase. They might choose to move to another state for other reasons but a fed income tax increase wouldn't have been an accurate one.

You better hope NOT! If people leave to that extent where will the loss in (state & local) tax revenue be made up?

Yeah, and they're either young and want the CA dream, are poor and want to get the generous benefits, or they're illegals. None of these groups help the State's financial picture.

It's called the Feed Me ratio. California has more takers than makers, one of the Top 5 worst ratios in the country.
