Why do you say they are waiving it?
You didn't say that you answered "yes" to one of the five questions. Looks as if you're going to have to go in.

The DMV site has been redesigned. The temporary extensions are completely gone.
When you click on Renewals, it goes to the right place.
It still says no new appointments are available.

I'm 68 in 2 weeks and have been getting automatic license renewals in the mail, without even asking, for over 40 years. Next one I'll be over 70, so I guess I'll have to go in then.

He didn't mention getting a Real ID, which does require a DMV visit. https://www.city-data.com/forum/los-...d-real-id.html

I got tired of worrying and went to the DMV office. I went at 11:30 AM which was a mistake. Had to wait in line for two hours. It was cooler, can you imagine doing that if it was 92 degrees?

Once I got inside it took 15 minutes.

That was my same experience last month, but I waited about 2 and half hours outside. I went earlier in the morning, but it was still kinda hot by the time I got in at 11am. I'm a nice, flushed red color in my DL picture now :-)

I planned on going to DMV today to renew my license, but no offices in my area were open on Mondays. The renewal letter I received stated that I needed to go in because I had renewed twice online. I clicked on the online renewal button and was able to get it done. I got an e-mail receipt for my payment, so I hope it goes through ok, my license expires the 25th of this month.

I'm a CDL holder, so I know I'll have to go in and get a REAL ID. I guess my last 6 or 7 have been fake? At least I don't have to go until next March. Hopefully, we'll have a vaccine by then...
