Good point. That probably should be used for the official "downtown" readings.

Trust me, the rest of my family would agree with you.

I'm just some kind of throwback to my NW Euro ancestors I guess. Although, my father had and one of my brothers haves fairly good cold tolerance. Not like mine, though.

I thought I'd zombie this thread to say...

Here it is! The gorgeous weather we've been waiting for.

I can't get enough of this time of year.

This is an East Coast versus West Coast rivalry thread if I ever saw one.

Enjoy the rest of your fall and winter indoors. I don't live in LA, but I have to say I prefer Southern California weather the way it is and being surrounded by bikini-clad Orange County hotties all year round.

I don't see why it should have to be a rivalry, but I do see this type of thing on this forum all the time. There are pluses and minuses to both locales. I can tell you that I was absolutely dying with the heat (here in SoCal) this summer, oh God it was dreadful. But I can also tell you I hated white-knuckle driving over black ice and 0 degree highs periodically in January and February. And I can tell you wonderful things about both locales, too. Neither is "better than" the other if you take things as a whole.

We (my family) have been taking so many walks...going so many places...and I love love love finally being able to drive with my windows down again and feeling the breeze!

Not that you can't do those things in 100F weather, but it just feels heavenly at 80F!
