Moving from Hollywood to Sherman Oaks in September. Much of my wife's work is based in the West LA area(though not all of it). I realize it's not the most ideal commute, but not nearly as bad as could be in such a sprawling city.

My question: what is the best route? I know we can take the 405 into Bel Air, taking us into West LA, Santa Monica, Brentwood, etc. Is there a better, more time-wise efficient route? Is just taking Sepulveda preferable?

Thanks very much!

Cool commute idea

Why not take N Beverly Glen Blvd. from Sherman Oaks to Bel Air

to Wilshire or Santa Monica Blvds. West to West LA

????

just an idea to stay off the hassle of the highways

Might be a more scenic drive too

and less smoggy??

beverly glen is as bad or worse than the freeways. it's only convenient if you live off of beverly glen on the valley side.

If they finish widening the 405 it should "theoretically" get better crossing over, yeah?

Stay OFF of Beverly Glen... Benedict Cyn. is the way to go. OR... if you're brave and adventurous, check out Roscomare. SSSHHHH! Don't tell anyone... it's our secret . . .
