Does anyone know of any good places to hike in Malibu? I'd really like to find a spot that has a nice ocean view. Thanks!

Here are a few spots to look into:

You are in Pacific Palisades so I assume you already know about Temescal Canyon which has some great ocean views at the top of the trail (not to mention the waterfall which runs in winter/spring).

Topanga Canyon State Park also has a good trail with an great ocean view.

Pt. Mugu has some good trails with an Ocean View:
Point Mugu SP

Nicholas Canyon above Leo Carillo Beach has good hiking trails with an ocean view
Nicholas Flat: Leo Carillo State Beach | Malibu California Hikes | Trails.com

And don't forget Malibu Creek State Park....beautiful hiking inclding the orig. site of the TV show Mash. Not really any ocean views on these trails but very tranquil and scenic. You feel like you've let LA completely behind you...

Thanks SunnyDay. This is great.

I've been to Temescal a few times, it's very lovely. Thanks again. Rep for you.

I think you'll find this link helpful:
LAMountains.com - your guide to parks and outdoor activities, event planning, and filming in the greater Los Angeles area

Also:
Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area (U.S. National Park Service)

Many, if not most, of the trails in the National Recreation Area are within State Parks linked above by SunnyDay70. But there are other lands within the NRA and the NPS website has a lot of usefuil maps and brochures.

There probably isn't a more beautiful place in LA county than Malibu\ Santa Monica Mts for hiking.

Lots of great trails in Malibu. Have you tried Corral Canyon Loop? Great ocean views. [mod]link removed[/mod]
