LI Gal- Yeah- I think I do get overly critical, and sometimes try to fix things so much I end up ruining them. Not planning on a lobster, though- I actually painted the net work (heads) in today, so the "empty" area is filled with itty bitty green lines. I like your painting- is it oil or acrylic?

Yes I know the feeling of turning something into mud by over work. I started with oils but I now work in acrylics and could never go back. you don't have to wait for the long slow drying time as you do with oils and get the same effect.
What do you paint in?
Nice to meet another soul hooked on the creative process. Isn't it great!!!
