Nice animation with start times. Storm too close to coast so coast getting screwed. Storm needed to be 150 miles east more.

Darksky says the snow will start around 3pm and go to midnight. At midnight it will turn to heavy rain, and it will continue raining until dawn.

There may not be anything to 'shovel' [well I don't shovel anyway, I use a snow-blower].

I was hoping to get 8 inches so I could have some real fun with the snow thrower. I used to have a snow blower, but I got a new cub cadet last winter, and it is definitely a thrower. I can hit my wife on the porch from half way down the drive way. Now that's fun!

Unfortunately, the next "storm" in early January is another heavy rain event. Could I at least get enough snow to cover up the dog cr@p in the yard????????

In Portland it has been pouring heavy rain for over two hours. The inch of new snow they had at 6 PM is gone.

In Lee it has ben snowing since 3 PM and we have about 2 inches of new snow with very light winds. The light snow is coming almost straight down.

Wow!!!! Snowing like the Arctic (of old days)!!! It will be interesting to see how much we get tomorrow morning!! In the meantime, standing in the, "swirl (and twirling in glee)," as I tilt-out the wipers from our vehicle (a new thing we learned in Maine)!
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, the snow!!!
