Years back, I wanted to join a wine club. Just to explore what's out there.
Big note appeared and said NO NO NO.

So we have Pine state and Maine Distributors who are the state suppliers. I talk to my suppliers now about wines and there is alot they don't have on there lists and can't get.

I wouldn't believe kids would go to all that trouble for wine, but.... anythings possible. Hassel with order and shipping.

If you look at it another way...
I rather catcj my daughter having a glass of wine then popping pills.
At least if they are drinking wine... they are doing it with "class".
(Children in other countries have wine all the time with the family)
p.s. I have a glass of wine with dinner general once every week or two. I'm more of a collector I suppose.

This led in part to regulating internet sales of Alcohol and Tobacco products as well as prescription drugs I believe.
Kids should not have access to credit cards or debit cards that are not directly controled by the parents until they are of legal age. That way there would be no doubt that the person ordering whatever it is is of legal age. Kids don't need credit cards! They do not need to make secretive purchases until they are old enough to do so legally. As far as internet drug sales go that's a tough question
How do you check a person's ID and be sure they have a valid prescription. They don't check. They can't. If drug companies didn't have to overcharge, people wouldn't feel compelled to but iffy drugs offshore.

We like wine with dinner. We buy good wine. I don't like the fact that the same wine I'm paying $16.00 a bottle for at Hannaford's would only cost me $7.99 a bottle over the internet. This socialistic state won't allow me to purchase it because some snot nosed little kid MIGHT figure out a way to steal mommys credit card and buy a case. All you have to do is be sure an ADULT signs for the delivery or it gets returned....is that so tough to figure out?? Too bad if the Maine Booze Mafia does not get it's cut of the protection money.
Commies! They are worse than the whole thing they were supposedly set up to protect us from in the first place...racketeering! They don't look out for the people of the state they look out for the state and that my friends is the very definition of socailism.

I'm going to build a wine cellar and then I will drive to New Hampshire for every bottle of wine I stock it with just to spite these jerks. Two can play this game.

I don't want to boot leg, but if friends bring me a bottle from other states I'm gratful for experience.

Maineah, you have a great point. this kind of thing could be required from the person whose card it was purchased from.. sign for it.
It's like a registered letter. I would pick it up at UPS and sign for it. No problem there.
So... I don't see why really....... this can't happen.

As someone already stated, I think it has far more to do with not getting the tax revenue than it does with protecting the children! Its a control thing. They want to know exactly what everyone in the state is doing all the time.

'A democracy is always temporary in nature; it simply cannot exist as a permanent form of government' A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury.

'From that moment on, the majority always vote for the candidates who promise the most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that every democracy will finally collapse due to loose fiscal policy, which is always followed by a dictatorship.

1. from bondage to spiritual faith;
2. from spiritual faith to great courage;
3. from courage to liberty;
4. from liberty to abundance;
5. from abundance to complacency;
6. from complacency to apathy;
7. from apathy to dependence;
8. from dependence back into bondage'

Wow! That is truly profound. Did you author this or did you obtain it from some other source?
