After reading so many different posts and threads here, I have to wonder what the weather will bring us tomorrow. Here's my guess.... Maine Forum Weather Forecast: We are expecting two to three feet of drama this evening with cool exaggerations, misty misnomers, chilly opinions and some cold hard facts blowing in from all sides, especially from the east-west direction.

I just went to a movie yesterday for Roger Ebert. He always said to go see a movie. It was Olympus Has Fallen. The only one available to me in the time slot. I give it a for action.

Those weather forcasters are always overplaying it. I believe about half of what they say. We were "supposed" to get 2 to 6 inches of snow a couple days ago - it was rain. Just greatful I am not a resident of North Dakota. They have had 2 blizzards in the past week with another one on the way. No wonder the unemployment is almost 0 there.

Our homestead grew today, one of our sows just had 12 piglets

Before anyone suggests that I should be ashamed of not spaying, let me add that I do generally cut most of the males. We only keep one intact boar.

It is the season for turtles to lay their eggs. They do this on gravel surfaces when they can. Many of our roads are gravel and you will see turtles on the roads. Turtles don't understand pavement and they also try to dig holes in asphalt to lay their eggs. Some of our turtles are huge snapping turtles and some are little painted turtles. The box turtle is endangered. Don't run over the turtles.

The weather folks here in Austin Texas have actually been known to have orgasms warning people of impending doom when the temperature approaches 32 degrees. And if there is also precipitation in the forecast, the panting gets fast and furious. Several stations actually have what they call the "four P warning." They will announce that under four-P condiditions, you should make sure to cover Pipes, and not to leave outside Pets, Plants, or People. My wife and I always laugh at the last one. "Remember to get Granny in from the back yard before you got to bed."
