Your view of the region seems to lack the depth of someone who has spent time in the area. I'm not convinced that you know much about MD or VA further than 5 miles off of 95 and 495.

Maryland technically is Southern. Large swaths of the state are VERY much like Virginia (the western and eastern parts of the state, and of course suburban MD and NoVa are essentially the same place).

It is cosmopolitan but no more so than Virginia. Maryland has been cosmopolitan since the 1700's. Was it not Southern then?

For much of the 1700s the Calvert family was claiming Philadelphia & the Penn family was claiming Baltimore. They were selling land to settlers within the contested area willy-nilly. You could have bought your land from the Calverts & your next-door neighbor could have bought his land from the Penns.

Just waiting on explanation as to how being wealthy is Northeastern. The Top 3 states are MD, AK, and NJ. One West, one Northeast, and one in dispute.

Seriously, can you provide an explanation instead of posting two sentences that say nothing? Surely you must have something to back up your assertion that MD is Northeastern if it's THAT clear to see.

Being industrial is a Northeastern trait? Guess the cities of Green Bay, Chicago, Grand Rapids, Detroit, and Cleveland are technically Northeastern.

You basically said nothing.

Wait..... I never even said Maryland was northeastern what the hell are you talking about?

Also the wealthiest states are in the northeast. Besides Hawaii, Virginia, etc. I'm talking about concentration. Also I did give you reasons as to how Maryland has some northeastern characteristics in another thread but you never responded. Clearly because you had no comeback.

Old School clown from New England you have a obsession with this region being the south just like the other square saying the same ole crap. This area is the Mid Atlantic end of discussion.

It's schizophrenic, in that you can order sweet tea with your scrapple.

Maryland's a mid-Atlantic state, but it's politics is definitely northeastern.
