My husband and I may be relocating to the Chicopee area in a few months. (Job promotion-transfer) We are moving from Wisconsin, so have very little knowledge of the area, except what we have read, and seen in our few visits to the area. We are in our 50's, so schools are (finally) not a factor for us. We would like to rent for a bit before we buy. Any suggestions for NICE rentals in the area. Prefer a condo, or duplex setting, but would consider a nice apartment. Prefer to keep the rent under $1300. Only need 2 bedrooms. We like the Ludlow, Wilbraham, Hadley areas, but would certainly be willing to look at other areas also. Thank-you.

Northampton is considered a desirable town, especially if you like arts/culture and are progressively-minded. I think you would find a good choice of nice condos (like Old School Commons (downtown) or other large houses that have been tastefully converted to condos).

Default Consider..

We just moved from Western Mass...and we rented while we were there. We found Granby to be a well kept secret. We rented a wonderful 4 br,2 bath house, with 4 garages, and a greenhouse, unfortunatly neither my wife or I had green thumbs! We had alot of land with no neighbors for only 1050.00 a month and the house had central air as well.Id keep my eyes peeled in that area, very quiet and you will get more for the money. My father lived in Chicopee and it took me about 10 mins to go see him off of James st by Westover airforce base. You would be centrally located between Northampton,Hadley and Spfld,Chicopee.
