I posted on the Massachusetts thread a few times last year because I was moving to South Hamilton for Seminary. Well, I've been here for almost a year and I love it here! I even survived the harsh winters(which is saying alot since I'm originally from Memphis,TN but spent four years in Evansville, IN for undergrad)! Not only do I absolutely love the city of Boston (have had no trouble getting there by commuter rail or just carpooling with friends) but the surrounding areas around my campus such as Gloucester, Rockport, Manchester, Ipswich, etc are awesome as well! New England is a wonderful place and I love living here! School is awesome too! I've met soo many amazing friends! Just thought I'd post an update since it's been a while lol

Thanks for the update, Brit. I'm glad you're enjoying our little corner of the world. We often take it for granted, so it's nice to hear from someone who views it with fresh eyes.
Best of luck!

I'm back! I have one more year before I graduate from grad school! I was thinking about where I was going to move afterwards but I couldn't think of any good reason to leave New England. I've pretty much have fallen in love with the place and have decided to make it my home even after school is over (unless something changes). Looks like you New Englanders are stuck with me for a while

Darn

For science, could you go into the differences you're finding between the various areas you've lived in? What do you find so alluring about MA compared to TN or IN?

I'm late to this party, but love to hear when somebody falls in love with New England (MA or NH in particular) and chooses to make their permanent home here. I know that when we relocated out of the area for a number of years, I counted the days till we could move back here

Compared to TN and IN, I feel like I have way more variety here in Mass. Living in New England has made me realize that I absolutely love living near the ocean. I also feel like there's never a dull moment because there's so much to do here.
