New to the area and this forum. Moved to New England from Toronto where most folks use SkyscraperPage. Thrilled I stumbled across City-Data and wanted to share some Northampton updates I am encouraged by. Hopefully more to come, but we will see. I'd love to see more from the area, and read any insight beyond what's shared in the news. Apologies if there is a similar thread. I did a scan and couldn't find one. Should there be one, I'd love to see Should this info be relocated, I'd be happy to do so

10 Hawley St.: St. John Cantius Church and area could be the future site of senior living apartments, retail spaces and a restaurant.

Great to see some life added to this area downtown IMHO. There's a small theatre opening up across the street as well. Can't seem to find an article on it, but looks to be a rehab of what was once an unimpressive, suburban-style industrial building.

Round Hill: "Luxury" apartments in the works.

This one is in my hood and apparently has been in the works for a while. It's a bigger complex that what one would assume from the photo. I walk by it frequently and they seem to be making steady progress.

23 Atwood Dr: Another office building on this site.

A step up from bland IMO. But I do think there is potential for the site and it's nice that it's densifying(ish) there. It's close enough to the core that it could be linked, properly, someday with retail, apartments, bike paths, etc.

Pulaski Park renovations underway.

This looks great to me. Got a lot of flack online, but that's par for any redevelopment. Would agree that the red entrance sign does look a bit "Soviet Russia", but that might not get incorporated. Regardless, I think it's a win for Northampton.

I think most folks interested in architecture and landscapes use SkyscraperPage here too. Boston has its own ArchBoston forum so the architectural crowd there aren't as active on SP as in some other places.

Anyway, nice to see these projects-- Thanks for posting.
