That was my go to store in the mid-2000s when I lived down the street from there. The product was so much better than S&S. Wasn't particularly elderly then, I wonder what changed?

The Roche Bros. I shop at (sometimes) doesn't have elderly shoppers. It's suburban moms.

I think I entered one in tony Bellevue, Washington, on my visit in 2012. I think it was a new concept there then...maybe it's more of a presence on the west coast?

I really enjoy the Downtown Crossing store. It's small but full of young shoppers after work.

I do not think walmart has good prices compaired to Hannaford and Market Basket but Walmarts prices are lower than Whole Foods and Stop and Shop

You have to really do a cost comparison. I've discovered similar. People will flock to Walmart thinking everything is less expensive. That's not necessarily true.

Stop & Shop's prices have been coming down steadily since the merger. In my neck of the woods they're less expensive than Star Market/Shaw's, Big Y, and Roche Bros.

That reminds me why does Star Market even exist as a brand now? Why not just make it all into Shaws?

I thought that was like an Alzheimer's facility, or is it just an assisted living home?

Walmart Neighborhood Market has been around since 1998. It has expanded nationwide in recent years.
