Meh, the two towns directly abut each other. I think you are overstating the differences, although Westford does seem to have a little more "new wealth" while Acton has been there longer.

Please post the source data that backs up this claim.

The are both pretty much upper middle class suburbs. Splitting hairs, Acton is nerdier and Westford has more jocks.

Westford has more jocks? Really? Ignoring for a second how thin that claim is, I'll point out that much of Westfords growth has been fueled by Asian/Indian buyers.

^Isn't this statement a bit racist? Lots of nerds in any group in my experience.

Not racist at all seeing as I'm not making a statement on actual athletic ability. Claiming a town is full of 'jocks' conveys a vision, for me anyway, that is incredibly white and lacking diversity (in every regard). My point was Westford is fueled by diversity and is, from an economic standpoint, likely more diverse than Acton.

Lots of Asians in Acton as well, so in that sense they are similar.

Kind of my point - Westford is, IMO, Acton-lite these days. It's not comparable to towns like Groton, Harvard, Bolton, etc. which are still culturally 'Anglo' - far more diverse.

Acton-lite but...slightly bigger? Or are you simply comparing the large Asian population?
