"A question making the rounds on social media is pitting Americans against one another: Which state is your state’s least favorite state?

This question was posed by Matt Shirley, a Los Angeles-based artist with a significant online following. He complied the results into a color-coded map of the United States."

This is ridiculous. There are a whole bunch of southern and prairie states that are much more worthy of hatred. New York is one of the better states.

Even Floridians hate Florida. And people in New Jersey hate everyone!

I hate New York (at least the city). There are perfectly nice people in the upstate.

There is a lot of insanity in Florida, but personally, there are much worse states. I'd live in FL before I'd live in AL or MS. Or AR. Or KY. Or OK, TX, ND, SD, WY...

Everyone in RI hates NY, as does VT... NH I could see hating MA the most. But I highly doubt the RI and VT ones are accurate... and ME too.

I could see VT hating NY, because they've been invaded, but you are wrong about Maine.

No, Maine doesn't hate New Hampshire. They complain about Mass. drivers just like every other state.

As far as RI, half of them sound like they're from NY and a bunch are Yankees fans.

Only about ~10% of RIers are Yankee fans, and most are in the elder population of Italian Americans. Younger generations have more or less been Sox fans over Yankees in RI. Especially withe influx of both Mass people and Immigrants to RI. In the late 60s it was as high as 25% of the state however.

I did a forum on this before:
