That cannot be done at any station on this line as it is also the path of the high speed Amtrak Acela.

That makes sense. Is the Acela going that quickly at that point?

Are they still stealing/vandalizing/breaking into cars over there? Personally I'd be more worried about that, than the pedestrian bridge collapsing under me.

You be the judge. This is the Acela going through the S Attleboro station:

A few thoughts:

- one can stand on the platform when the Acela comes through with only a yellow line on the ground protecting you
- Acela doesn't come through during peak commuter rail times
- there are still at grade crossings where the Acela runs.

I really see no issue with a paved walkway across the track as a short term solution with perhaps a automated crossing gate.

There is a trailer park right on the other side of the tracks.

That's the trailer park at the end of Kenyon Ave in Pawtucket.

^ And there is also another trailer park on the other side of Newport Ave (next to / behind Market Basket):

There are several trailer parks around there, in addition to the one at the end of Kenyon Ave. One is right on the other side of Newport Ave. (adjacent to the tracks). Another is going the other way (also following the tracks) heading towards Roosevelt Ave./Broadway.

If they have trailer parks there, then it's very important to continue to have a train station. Public transit must be for everyone, but especially those living in lower income locations.
