That's a total fallacy. Do you realize that only citizens can vote? And it's a LONG path for those who come in by any means, to become US citizens. Yes, some of these folks may become citizens someday...but that's decades away.

No amigo, I do drive on those roads but that's just a miniscule portion of my tax bill, with a much bigger portion being spent on uninsured illegals showing up at the ER and leaving the taxpayers on the hook for five, six or sometimes seven figure hospital bills. There's also the "defense" portion which I don't like any more than you do but that's a conversation for another day.

Amigo, it's only a matter of time as long as politburo manages to hang on to power. It's already happening in NYC.

But why the false what-aboutism then?

And don't wanna pay? Well, guess what... on equally moral grounds I don't like trillions going into our military and subsidizing our meat industry (for example). Price of living in a democracy. We get to voice our choices via elections.

I'd rather pay money for the military weapons than for all the illegals coming here on a daily basis. Not only do we have to pay for them but then their in our communities taking up space. They dont deserve to be here. investing money into the military is an attempt to protect our country. Paying for illegals is destruction to our communities.

Politburo attempting to hang on to power? much better describes the administration we voted out 2 yrs ago. I think you've got your parties mixed up, bro.

And yeah, this is an MA thread. Show me where non-citizens are allowed to vote in federal/state elections. Anywhere.

That's you. Point is--we all have our peeves, dislikes, and differing sense of value we place on priorities.

The national defense is partly why the government exists. The government is not fulfilling its duty in not protecting our sovereignty and our borders. Not sure why that's so hard to understand. Besides the fact that defense spending isn't the topic here. The topic is why our borders are not being adequately defended. This is basic stuff.

Amigo, having non-citizens voting in NYC was just as unthinkable just a few years ago yet here we are. As for having the parties mixed up both suck but only one wants to buy votes by taxing me into oblivion.

Forget that - whatever I pay in taxes for defense comes back to me as gains on all the RTXs and LMTs out there. What do we get back from the trillions spent on illegals and our perpetually on the dole underclass other than crime and ruined neighborhoods?
