Apparently 7 or so people showed up last week and then more just kept coming all week! It isnt being mentioned where they came from other than they speak creole so I'd guess Haiti. It's the school that will feel the biggest burden.

This is quite a bit different from what Desantis did. This is MA's own agency DHCD handling the accommodations for new arrivals. Since they're being housed in hotels, they probably looked for the lowest rates available. Something similar happened in Methuen recently. Do Wellesley or Weston even have hotels, let alone reasonably priced?

Happens daily in every border town along the Rio Grande River. Multiply “100” by 10 or 20 in every town every day. Every day since creepy uncle Joe issued his executive order rescinding the “Remain in Mexico” order.
I can see how it would happen more often in a border town. MA is not anywhere close to the border. I just feel bad for the towns that have to put up with this. There's a Mexican restaurant next to that hotel...I wonder if they will be expected to help out with food??

I wouldn't insult President Biden but I agree about how people like this are dumped into Texas border towns all the time and I wonder how much is done to help? Seems as though they are left for the towns to deal with (same as what's happening here now) or they are put onto busses. There is no way that any of this is the right way to deal with the problem.
