Technically, by some definitions, I guess you could argue that calling her a "white h**" isn't a slur in the same sense that "honky" or "cracker" are because those are specifically intended to be negative toward white people and have no other purpose, while "white" is not. When you're in the middle of beating the crap out of someone and you call them a "white h**," then "white" is pretty clearly part of the insult (same for "fat b*tch," "black h**," or "white b*tch"). Clickbaity thread title aside, it's entirely possible that this wasn't racially motivated at all and the mother was just hurtling any insult she could think of at the 12 year old girl while she kicked the crap out of her. But if the police only have this video as evidence to go on, they're kind of obligated to at least look into whether race played any role in it.

A racial slur specific to a race. Yes, it makes difference. Either it's a racial slur or it's not. You can argue the beating is racist (debatable) seeing as you don't know the context, but no racial slur was said in the video, point blank.
For all we know the white girl started the fight, its worth police involvement to investigate the motive. but the hyperbole is not necessary.

Yea probably- but white people don't cuss like that so it's kind of weird. You all seem more likely to call you a prick or an *sshole or a b*tch or something like that . I've never heard white people use "h*" like that if it wasn't actually in relation to sexual promiscuity.
I'd be inclined to think the beating was racist, but i wouldn't call that a slur. And I'd be open to hearing both sides. Regardless adults cannot encourage their kids to beat people up and cuss at them and videotape it. Bad all around and im 99.5% sure that white girl did nothing to warrant that.
T Globe won't cover it because the Globe doesn't cover crime in general unless its a police scandal. There were black and white kids who fought 2/3 times when I played little league in Hyde Park- never covered in the but then again parents and video wasnt involved.
