Any reason to believe he is here without a valid visa? Any at all?

Why are you so pro illegal is the question or so inclined to give them the benefit of the doubt. My god this is someone who just tied people up and robbed a bank. You are f@cked.

I think the word you’re looking for is “criminal” not “illegal”.

You also seem to have mistaken the dog whistle for the actual thing. The normal arguments against “illegals” are met with calls of racism. Those are usually sidestepped by claiming that the issue is with the illegal immigration and not the race or national origin of the immigrant. The “my great-grandparents did it the right way” defense. Since the vast majority of illegal immigrants are Latin Americans, the two can be somewhat legitimaly used interchangeably. One can secretly just hate brown people who speak Spanish but still have a veneer of only being interested in “doing things the right way”.

Of course, that only works if you care about the legal status of the people in question. Illegal doesn’t actually mean brown and black people from other countries. It means people who aren’t here legally. If someone has made use of a policy that allows them to come here legally, you should at least pretend to take issue with the policy instead of just continuing to mistake “illegal” for something that it’s not.

Why would I assume a person accused (not convicted, so they're supposed to get the benefit of the doubt in that circumstance) of a crime would be in the country without a valid visa (which again, is not a crime)?

How does one follow the other. If it was the case that the majority of crime was committed in this country by undocumented immigrants, than there might be some correlation to assume, but that is not the case.

I see plenty of people posted of crimes around this fetishized site, yet, most aren't accused of being undocumented immigrants. They have something in common. Hmmmmn. Can you put your finger on it?

Maybe these people did this, maybe not. Maybe their visas expired and they have commit a civil offense (not a crime), maybe not. Jumping to that assumption, is well, you know what it is.
