Exactly. Thing is that's the norm here rather than the exception. Go to most other states, you tend to not find much the latter in so called affluent towns.

On the other hand, I'm not sure what YOUR point really is? Every argument you made, the same could be said for Detroit or East Bum#$%%, West Virginia. At least those places are priced accordingly though.

Well it depends what you do and for what money. My point is it doesn't matter how much you make and how much you spend but the balance between it.

There's nice places and bad places in every state and region. Personally I don't believe in something being that bad, it's people that are bad and if they are removed the area changes. Some places change faster than others. When I think of new england Lawrence is last along with Bridgeport. But I don't put people there down.

If you want to condemn places and people for being rough I don't know what to say. Not everyone has money and frankly if someone has to shop at a dollar store and live in a trailer at least they are trying. If someone is fat and is at gym same thing, if someone is going through rehab same thing. You can't blame people for wanting a better life or trying to get by.

350K? I didn't even pay half of that for mine. There's plenty of smaller places with access all across mass and new england.

You guys aren't making any sense.
Nope. I haven't heard of medical deserts.

Ah, you want the poor boxed in poor towns so the rich don't have to see them. Now it makes sense

We have plenty if them in MA as well. Granted, I suppose Boston isn't theoretically too far away for one who has a serious issue; but I would not want to be a resource/transportation deprived person needing complex medical care in Ayer, Pittsfield or Taunton.

Someone in Taunton could just go to south shore hospital I would think.

Someone i know had a stroke the other day. He's loaded financially but MGH was too full for him to go there. So maybe that's an example of a medical desert right here at mgh boston. Too full hospitals to help someone who'd just had a stroke. Top notch healthcare right there.

Maybe check maps and stats by people that actually did some research rather than go with your feelings?
Massachusetts has multiple Level1 centers in Boston, plus Worcester and Springfield. WV is a much larger state with only 2 level 1 centers in the state. Let alone states in the plains that often don't even have one.

God forbid he ended up at BIDMC, Brigham, Tufts or BMC, all level 1 centers like MGH.
