What is happening? Definitely seems to be more danger on the roads than there should be.

I almost got hit again a week ago people run red lights like it's going out of style. If I had a rock with me I'd throw it at their window. If I was a cop I would slam them down on the ground. One time a woman charged me with her car and a guy in a truck witnessed it. You have to assume they will run the red light
Police are not doing their job it's as simple as that when it comes to traffic .

I was driving the other night and in an unfamiliar neighborhood, it was rainy foggy and someone came right up on me and flashed their high beams. I was a going a little less than the speed limit on a main road out of caution because i didn't know where i was going. It's pretty sad how much of a hurry people are in or just cant bear the thought of not wanting to go as fast as they please. I actually pulled over so they could pass me...and they just sat there behind me.

there is no enforcement. I see drivers every day trying to kill people. people double, triple parked. Blocking a whole lane of traffic (just running in for a sec) nobody cares. everyone is out for themselves. Society is falling apart before our own eyes.

There's really no excuse to plow over another human being walking on the sidewalk or crossing the street. It's pure negligence. The only exception I'd see is if someone is trying to commit suicide and blatantly throws themself into highway traffic or something like that since it would likely be difficult for anyone to react in time.

Welcome to my world. I feel like all I do is post about stuff like this in the "Cars" thread. People are so rude and unhinged out there, it really is incredible.

Yes people are out for themselves and that comes to when driving fast and even doing rude things like pulling over in inconvenient places to let people out of a car or pick someone up...the last thing anyone should want is to get an accident or hit someone walking. The fact that there have been 3 incidents just this week where people have been hit walking (and it's february, not even summer) seems alarming.

I hadnt looked at the cars thread in a while...maybe i should have just posted there...i was thinking that thread was about car models, etc.

I agree. It seems enforcement has been rather lax. Prioroties elsewhere I guess.

But seems folks just only care about themselves more and more these days, and that's reflected elsewhere as well other than driving behaviors.

perhaps there were too many profiling accusations towards the police so they've stopped pulling people over?

I do see people getting pulled over on the highway still from time to time...but that's about it.

The Cars thread started off about car models but kind of morphed into discussion about anything involving cars, including rage-y drivers or accidents in the news. That's where I post a lot of my car rants anyway!
