first of all although salisbury beach may look bad but this is not necessarily true most of the homes there are just camps so not many people actually live there but those that do are usually somewhat poor but crime is still not a real problem secondly who ever said that the amusement park area looks exactly the same is a cuz they tore that down a long time ago in place of some pretty nice condos

Default Casino

Let's hope NE mass does get a casino and it's at the Beach!

Roger Shaheen brought Harvey's Casino on board during the '90s to to avail........Maybe this time we can rebuild the beach.

Bill Shaheen.........exiled from the Beach 1978...........

Hell no! No Casinos! Salibury Beach gets enough beach traffic and riff raff as it is, couldn't handle it.

^There are either two or three locations being considered by the state. I hope one goes to New Bedford as I LOVE this proposal. It's one of the few that seems to be designed to actually integrate with the surroundings instead of wall off and isolate people. It also would clean up a brownfield site and redevelop a whole chunk of old industrial waterfront including an abandoned powerplant.

Take a look at the proposal here. Click through the slide show.
