We are old school New Englanders.

It isn't insularity. It isn't the poor job market (I've been here when it was a fairly decent one.) It isn't lack of formal education -- there is no index that indicates advanced degrees result in increased social skills.

We leave you alone because we don't wish to invade your privacy and we value ours.

If you want to be embraced, I suggest you head south of the Mason-Dixon Line.... or you honestly embrace this life, this place. You still won't get a hug, but you will be welcomed.

We are friendly but not intrusive.
