In Minnesota at places like Fantastic Sams I was able to pay around $10 per haircut. Here I have seen $25 as the cheapest. However, on this forum someone stated they know someone who gets their haircuts for $12 plus tip. While I am on Lahaina side, I can go somewhere else for errands including a haircut if it saves me a few bucks. I am not looking for anything fancy and just a basic mens haircut. Mahalo!

Usually I go to Great Clips. They are all over the place here in the Twin Cities. The cost is usually about $14 without a coupon or sale. They have signs up recently for $7.95, which is pretty cheap. They don't have any Great Clips in Hawaii. But even if the cost is a lot higher, you shouldn't need to get a haircut very often. So on an annual basis, the cost is still pretty low compared to other things.

I agree that even at a $10 per haircut difference between the Twin Cities and Maui, the total difference spent here is $120 per year if getting one haircut every month. The first month or two here will be the most difficult, so I am trying to save every penny I can right now.

I used to have my hair cut here, https://maps.google.com/maps?q=Lahai...,75.92,,0,7.46 (when I had hair) but it looks closed now. Pretty sure it was about ten bucks.

Do as my son does here, he gets a No. 1 (completely shaved/lined) and he can go 6 to 8 months (or longer) before he gets a cut again.

Just another thought... Are there any cosmetology schools on Maui? If I remember right, they were way cheaper than any salon.

Supercuts at Queen Kaahumanu is $19
Maui Barber shop in Kukui Mall I think is $18?
Daddy-O's is like $21

I used to get mine cut by Nunzio's barber shop which is in the triangle area by Pita Paradise/Lifes a Beach/Three's. I hear its owned by someone else now that does haircuts for $20. I think its called Kihei Barber Shop now.

If you know your clipper numbers you can get a barber shop touch up for cheaper I heard. I think Roxanas in Napili does mens haircut for $20 for first timers, but I don't know what it is after that. I could have sworn there was a barber pole in the wharf, but I haven't been there in a few years.
