So I have been following the website FTVLIVE for years. It is a website that was started by its creator and he self-proclaims the site as "a must read for anyone that works or wants to work in TV News. We tell it to you straight with an edge, along with some humor (well at least we find it humorous) and don't pander to TV executives like many of the other so called insider websites." Basically, he calls out people in the news for stupidity, dishonesty, and hypocrisy. That theme has somewhat changed over time to the point that I tend to see a lot more bias based upon who is reporting what.

While he certainly calls out CNN, he mostly has negative things to say about FOX and occasionally will report on the alphabet networks. However, I rarely see anything negative about MSNBC.

There have now been several occasions when I've called him out for not reporting factual information and he refuses to correct these things, but has no problem calling out others in the news industry. For example, in March he posted this about a lack of diversity in news in Little Rock, AR - https://www.ftvlive.com/sqsp-test/20...in-little-rock While I agreed with his post about the metro needing more diversity in news to better represent the population it serves, he misrepresented the demographic facts and claimed that half of the market was African American. While it's true that the racial makeup of the CITY of Little Rock (as of 2010) was 48.9% White and 42.3% Black, 75.4% of the Little Rock MSA population (as of 2000) was White with only 21% being Black. When you include the other race/ethnicity groups, that is not "half". I also pulled some info from a 2019 estimate and it appears that the Little Rock-North Little Rock-Conway CSA 2019 estimates show the racial makeup to be 67% White and 23% Black. Therefore, the Little Rock media market multicultural population does not make up the majority population in this market even when you add in the Asian, Hispanic, or other Non-Hispanic and 2+ race/ethnicity populations. On this occasion, he actually did do a follow-up post here: https://www.ftvlive.com/sqsp-test/20...in-little-rock - Yet, he neglected to correct the demographic information he initially posted.

Other Random Examples

** https://www.ftvlive.com/sqsp-test/20...is-is-fox-news - He must realize the guy is a smuggler rather than some "random guy sitting in the Rio Grande". Maybe his focus should be more about why other media outlets are STILL ignoring the situation at the Southern Border rather than making potshots against Fox News for covering it

** https://www.ftvlive.com/sqsp-test/20...tucker-carlson - Certainly covering the media, he is trying to appeal to the low information audience since he must be aware that Disney now owns the Fox network.

** https://www.ftvlive.com/sqsp-test/20...id-it-was-okay - I would take no issues with the story if the headline had read "FDA has not approved the use of Ivermectin for treating Covid 19" because that would have been absolutely true and would not have made it seem like the drug is only used to deworm farm animals. Yet here he is spinning. Sounds like typical, uninformed BS coming from the left who aren't doing their due diligence in understanding WHY this is happening. Furthermore, Fox News is NOT telling people to not take the vaccine. I agree that people need to do research before they start digesting substances they do not understand. Ivermectin is a possible treatment, not a cure. It will not stop anyone from getting Covid. Fox news has not stated that it is a cure for Covid.

** https://www.ftvlive.com/sqsp-test/2021/8/22/no-toasters - He reported on this Trump rally in August and claimed "The Trump faithful left their masks at home and showed up in droves." Yet, he failed to report that on that same weekend, CNN hosted the WE LOVE NY CONCERT where masks were missing and social distancing was not in attendance. In addition, he failed to report that on that weekend, Schumer and Pelosi (and other elites) attended the NAPA fundraiser dancing away while thousands of Americans were stuck overseas and masks were missing as well. Yet, he turned around and reported this just yesterday: https://www.ftvlive.com/sqsp-test/20...get-hazard-pay

** https://www.ftvlive.com/sqsp-test/20...joy-your-lunch - He reported this story this morning, yet flat out failed to report on the KFOR fake story that was subsequently passed along to Rolling Stone (that they corrected) and the likes of people like Rachel Maddow who continued to report this lie. Even after this made news and he was informed of this, he failed to report on the fake story.

There are countless other examples of this bias including the amount of posts he's made on trashing former anchor Kari Lake simply because she supported Trump. As far as I am concerned, when you claim to have "worked 20+ years in the TV News trenches, before leaving TV for the online world and are a former News Director, Executive Producer, Producer, Assignment Editor, Reporter and Photographer," I expect more - especially when you claim to call out the media, yet IMO you are contributing to the campaign of misinformation yourself and refuse to make corrections when you are wrong. Another example of hypocrisy in the media.

My only comment would be that CNN deserves to be called out. They are far more concerned with Trump 'warning' stories about sneaky things he or supporters might do than what's actually going on in real life. Especially as it relates to the Biden administration.

A recent post by FTVLive regarding Chuck Todd of MSNBC bringing on more elected Republicans than elected Democrats this year to his show "Meet the Press":

https://www.ftvlive.com/sqsp-test/20...-friend-at-nbc

I guess if Democrats actually had talking points about anything other than climate change, infrastructure, and January 6 rather than ignoring most of the real current crises, he may have had more Democrats on his show. Furthermore, it's scary when the left starts believing that Chuck Todd leans to the right.

It looks like Sharyl Attkisson has hired an attorney and is responding to a story posted on FTVLive. It appears FTVLive is trying to pass the buck to Sinclair's "insiders" and "sources". Gotta love how "journalists" (I used that term loosely) don't want to take responsibility for anything they write about:

BZZZZZZT!

Disney does not own the Fox "network"; the Fox Corporation owns Fox Entertainment, Fox Television Stations, Fox News Media, and Fox Sports Media Group.

Two years ago now (!), Disney bought 21st Century Fox; before the sale, Fox News Channel, Fox Sports, Fox Network and the O&O stations were spun off to form the Fox Corporation. All Disney got was the film/TV studios, FX, and some other cable channels.

You might want to get your facts straight before creating accountability threads. Not sure what Disney has to do with Seth McFarlane's Tweet in question, either ...

My mistake. I meant to state that Disney now owns many of the assets/shows that air on Fox. Family Guy is in fact owned by Disney. Fox only owns stations in 17 markets. Done being snarky yet or would you like to comment on something more substantive in my "accountability thread" than a cartoon?
