In Europe most eastern euro countries are declining in population (Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Estonia, etc), southern european population is steady or slighty declining (case of Italy)... Northern and Western europe show positive figures for the most part due to receive several thousands of people mainly from africa and middle east every year. If you would discount those immigration figures the native population would be also declining... Take in consideration a country like germany received 250k more people than the people who left the country, and still the country experienced a slight decline of population.
i am impressed with your response.

Yes. Of course. Watch a few ancestry videos on youtube and read a bit about Mexican actors (many White European descendants).

Encyclopedia Britannica
Mexico’s population is composed of many ethnic groups, including indigenous American Indians (Amerindians), who account for more than one-fourth of the total, and Mexicans of European heritage (“whites”), who constitute between one-tenth and one-fifth of the total.

We make the observation that 20 generations of ancestors is over a million people, and 30 generations of ancestors is over a billion people. The population of the world only surpassed one billion about 220 years ago, and the population of Mexico is usually estimated at 5-10 million in 1519 when Cortez arrived (some place it as high as 30 million). Every person has considerable pedigree collapse, and their ancestral tree back over 20 generations has the same people in multiple positions as distant cousins marry one another.

But the odds of looking at any Mexican's tree with millions of entries and that every entry be populated with Europeans, when there were not that many to begin with, is very low.

Landmark studies on DNA in the USA about 50 years ago revealed that a huge percentage of so called "white people" in the USA had some non-European blood. Don't forget the USA had much larger percentage of European immigrants and a history of marrying within Europeans than Mexico.

In 1895 in South Carolina during discussion, George D. Tillman said, It is a scientific fact that there is not one full-blooded Caucasian on the floor of this convention. Every member has in him a certain mixture of... colored blood...It would be a cruel injustice and the source of endless litigation, of scandal, horror, feud, and bloodshed to undertake to annul or forbid marriage for a remote, perhaps obsolete trace of Negro blood. The doors would be open to scandal, malice, and greed.

The one-drop rule was not adopted as law until the 20th century: first in Tennessee in 1910 and in Virginia under the Racial Integrity Act of 1924.

If you include the African country of Morocco then, I would estimate Mexicans are at least 25% African.

I have one Mexican friend who claims to have a little bit of French ancestry, from the brief french colonization of Mexico. He looks very Amerindian to me, but he has bright green eyes so he must have european ancestry somewhere in his past.

This is false I've taken a look at many aDNA results of Iberians Portuguese and Spaniards 1%-6% is the range I've seen. Mexicans have less North African since the average Mexican is about 50% European especially around Mexico city, in the north of Mexico the average is 2/3 European and in the south it's 1/3.
