Driving along the beach strip keep driving a couple of miles north or west up to cheaper hotels where the local tourist visiters stay ...very clean and affordable..You can leave your car at the hotel...walk across the street and take the local small. transportation buss down to the strip.
Walk inside any hotel for a close beach view...I have done that.
