Fewer now than 20 years ago. El Paso has changed and it's a shame.

Another stereotype...Mexicans invade American territory and take their jobs.

but stereotyping is what others unjustly do to you, not what you do to yourself.

LOL...you are so right!

Then again, what about the Mexican-Americans who are gangsters in L.A. and were after African Americans dressed with blue jeans and white T-shirts. They did not care whether gangster or not. Sometimes, it all depends on the neighborhood you live in. If you live in a poor neighborhood that is what you will get, even if you dont want to get involved.

I'm white (Finnish decent), born in California and I've NEVER been attracted to blondes. I like dark hair and eyes. My husband's from Mexico City, but he's always been attracted to tall & white.
Does your Mexican husband look more Indio like George Lopez or does he look more European like Tony Romo ? Here in the U.S I noticed that most White women are not attracted to Mexican/Hispanic men who look like they are of predominantly Amerindian ancestry the same way most of them are not attracted to Asian men.

That is why it is rare to see Hispanic/Mexican men who look like this that have a White wife/White girlfriend.

I have to agree, Univision paints an inaccurate portrayal of the real Mexico.

you took my comment the wrong way. EP changing has nothing to do with Whites or Mexicans or even jobs, it has to do with the direction or lack of direction the city has taken.

What the hell??? Indio is a derogatory term ala N-word. I'm not sure how you arrive at the vast generalizations that "white women" aren't attracted to Amerindians or Asians. I can only speak for myself... I'm attracted to beauty, not race.

FYI, my husband is 5'8", medium skin tone (white in winter, dark in summer), almond colored eyes, black curly hair, thick eyebrows, and looks like he could be Latino, Mediterranean, or Arabic. To me, he's good looking.

Not that it matters, but since you asked about "type," I've also dated Armenian, and Mexican-American.

I also find these people attractive:

Eduardo Verastegui

Jaime Camil

Sendhil Ramamurthy - Indian (cast of Heroes)

Only a Hispanic who is ashamed of his or her Indigenous Brown roots would be offended at being called an Indio.

The vast majority of White women are not attracted to them hence why White female/Asian male and White female/Amerindian male couples are not very common.

The overwhelming majority of White women date/marry White men, but the ones who do date/marry outside their race, most of the time they will choose a Black man over a Brown man or a Yellow man.
